Hi, I am Marcis.

I am a structural engineer who moved into software engineering, and this is my company's page.

I worked as a structural engineer for ten years. Some of my notes from that time are at notes.structures.lv.

Over those years I spent a lot of time with FE software, spreadsheets, AutoCAD and Revit. These days my work goes in a few directions:

• building AI agents and .NET software at my day job;
• designing building structures for friends, usually private houses;
• writing small tools that save engineers and consultants some time: Vertical Tabs, an Excel add-in that puts a searchable list of sheets down the side of the window, and Comment Navigator, a Word add-in that numbers every comment in a document and exports the lot to Excel. Both have a free version.
